Looking at the safety rail at the top of the lighthouse lantern area the top of the lantern extends twelve foot from the gallery. Again looking through the safety rail on to what used to be the living quarters of the lighthouse keepers up to September 12th 1984 when it became automated. The height of the light above the mean high water is about 60 meters. The Optic is 1st order catadioptric. Pictured is a close up view of the exterior of three the lantern lenses.
